This scholarship honors Rawan Alsaraj, a Palestinian physicist living in Gaza. Despite recent displacement, Rawan’s commitment to education and to advancing opportunities for young women in STEM has never wavered. She has recently established a school program for children in her community, continuing to teach them math and science lessons while schools remain closed due to the violence. In recognition of her name and strength, one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible graduating senior. Priority will be given to applicants pursuing STEM fields, but all are encouraged to apply.
